COVID-19 PROTOCOL

The safety of our students, staff and families is our top priority. With that in mind, we are asking that all of us work together to keep each other safe while we navigate the challenges of our current situation. The following rules/guidelines will be put into place to ensure that we are adhering to government mandates and CDC recommendations: 

  • If anyone in your family or your child is not feeling well, do not send your dancer to class.
  • Forehead temperatures will be taken and hand sanitizer given once students are in their assigned classroom in a sectioned off safety square. Any student with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or above will be asked to leave. A phone call will be made to the parent immediately while the child is isolated.
  • No food is to be brought in. Any dancers who used to stay in the building between classes will now need to be picked up and then dropped off when their next class begins.
  • Dressing Rooms and Waiting Areas are closed. We will provide numbered bins in each studio for students to store their personal belongings.
  • Only staff and students are permitted in the building with the exception of one parent of a Mini Mover being allowed to escort their child to their classroom and then return outdoors. After class, a staff member will bring all dancers outside to be picked up.
  •  Parents and students are asked to stay in their cars until a staff member comes out with a sign with their child's class name on it. At  that time, please walk your child to the teacher so they can escort them to their classroom. After class is over, a staff member will walk one class at a time outside and stay with the class until each student has been picked up. We ask parents to be on time when dropping off and picking up their child.
  • All IPAC faculty members are required to wear face masks. Students will be required to wear masks into the building and are allowed to remove them once classes begin. They will need to wear them while transferring from class to class. To avoid spreading germs, we ask you to have your child bring a small paper lunch bag to place their mask in. They will need this every time they come to class. Thank you!
  • Dance floors will be taped off to ensure students remain 6 feet apart.
  • Classes held in Studio 1 will enter and exit through the side door (near Gregory’s Restaurant). Studios 2 and 3 will enter and exit through the main entrance.
