2025 Parade Information

Parade Lineup

PARADE REHEARSAL INFORMATION:

Massillon’s 70th Annual Holiday Parade!

Please see below for any and all information you will need for the parade!

 1) All dancers are required to wear their parade sweatshirt and have their prop (gift), which will be given to dancers at rehearsal. They must have their prop in order to participate. We are asking parents to keep this prop in a safe place and remember to bring it with your child the day of the parade. We will turn their lights on at the parade site.

2) An index card will be given to your child along with their parade hoodie. It shows them where their spot is in the parade lineup. This will need to be with them at both rehearsal and the day of the parade. It saves so much time when lining them up.

3) Black pants/leggings and white shoes/boots are also required. (Littles on the truck will not carry a prop and can wear any color shoes/boots.) If gloves/hats are worn, they need to be black. Hand warmers for your child's hands and feet are a good idea if the weather is cold, too! 

4) There are NO restrooms available once your child has been dropped off. Please make sure your child has gone BEFORE leaving them with us. We will call you if there is an issue and you will need to come back to help your dancer.

5) All Mini Movers and Tiny Tumblers and 3 adults will be riding on the back of a flatbed truck (as their little legs would have difficulty keeping up with the rest of the pack). We ask you to bring a blanket for your child to wrap around them as it can be quite cold.

6) Parents cannot walk with us down the parade route. If you would like to follow, you are welcome to walk on the sides of the street behind the row of people.

7) Dancers are not allowed to get out of line and run to their families. We must keep them together for safety reasons. Thank you for understanding.

8) If due to inclement weather, the parade is postponed, we will notify you via email and post on our Facebook page. Please make sure you are checking our Facebook page and/or our website regularly to stay on top of all announcements.

9) We are in a new starting location this year. We are in GROUP D and will line up on 8th Street and Andrew Ave NE. There will be parade marshals and signs present to provide support. This is where students need to be dropped off at 4pm. After that, it’s a good idea to leave and try to get a parking space close to the end of the parade route on Federal Ave NE between 1st and 2nd Streets. The parade begins at 5pm. Please see the map below for our drop-off location.

10) You will need to promptly pick your dancer up in front of the Save-A-Lot Store at the Towne Plaza immediately after IPAC is done dancing. You must let a teacher know you are taking your child before leaving. In years past, parents have taken their child or another parent’s child without informing anyone. For the safety of our dancers, please refrain from doing this as it can cause a panic.​


Here is the Parade Route: Lincoln Way / 8th St NE to 1st St NW / Federal Ave NE, ending in Towne Plaza.

We are so excited for this year’s holiday parade, and we can’t wait to see our dancers light up the streets with their energy and sparkle! This is always such a fun tradition, and our dancers have been working hard to be parade-ready. A huge thank you to all our parents for helping get their child dressed, bundled, and prepared -- we truly couldn’t do it without you. We’re looking for a festive, joyful day together! See you then:)
